OpenRaid Rules and Regulations

What we expect from our users;
Conduct:

Please use OpenRaid responsibly. We are a family site, appealing to all ages, and therefore cannot tolerate actions which may offend or upset some of our audiences.

The following actions are no warning bannable offences:
Racism
Sexism
Abuse of the reputation system - apparent reputation farming through raid sign ups and signing up multiple characters to the same raid roster
Harassment - 'attacking' of another player either via comments/whispers (some in-game information may be used as evidence if directly related to OpenRaid)
Constant Flaming of other members
Excessive use of bad language in public forums/names on ventrilo
Spamming and trolling in our Voice Chat

Remember to treat others with respect

On OpenRaid we do NOT tolerate the buying and selling of raid spaces, mounts and achievements for in-game currency or 'real' money. This includes ‘giving’ away prizes in exchange for reserved items.

However, we do allow you to:
- Trade items for other items – These must be tangible goods on your server. Codes, blizzstore items, etc are not acceptable tradable items.
- Participate in Blizzard Reward programs such as Scroll of Resurrection or Refer a Friend.
- Give items away – there must be no strings attached. E.g. you’re giving away a random prize to a random raid member for doing nothing but simply attending the raid.

Nor do we allow the promotion of other websites/streams unless authorized by the Admin. (please send a support ticket about promoting other sites/streams) However, you're welcome to post your steam in our approved streaming thread here: http://openraid.us/f/20 please be aware that if we find the content questionable or not in line with our policies we reserve the right to remove your stream from our thread.

Excessive commenting on someone else's profile. Members are limited to one comment regarding a topic or event, and all comments should be truthful, polite, and constructive.

Please refrain from spamming chat, this will result in your account being muted for X amount of minutes depending on severity, or even a ban.
Do not post your raid more than once every 15 minutes depending on the speed of the chat; it really only needs to be on the screen once.
Do not type your messages in all CAPS.
Do not advertise your raids on other peoples raids or attempt to 'steal' their raiders.
Battle-tag is allowed in chat.
Please do not advertise your guild in chat, instead use our forums: Here
Do not create a raid if you know you cannot attend.

Do not swear or insult moderators in support tickets or in support chat; we do not swear at you.

On the forums;
Do not create forum posts naming and shaming players - please handle all matters via our support system for moderation.
Do not use CAPS for your post title, or for your entire post; this will lead to editing and/or removal.
Please do not start flame wars, keep the discussion friendly and constructive.
Please post any bugs you may encounter or ideas for site development into the bugs/ideas forum.
Any problems, please check the Support forum; most known issues have information there.

On Voice Chat;
You are free to use the below servers for your OpenRaid raids or just for fun. Whatever you like.
Try to keep the server available for people that want to raid.
Members found harassing other players/raid groups will be banned.
Guilds: don't abuse this privilege and keep them free for OpenRaid members and raids.
Note that we provide these services for free, as-is. We cannot guarantee it's uptime.

When creating raids;
We highly advise that you post clear looting rules in your raids description; this can avoid upset over loot. Especially mounts.
Do not post derogatory comments such as 'No idiots' 'please do not be retarded' - if found, these comments will be removed.
Do not accept more reserves that needed for a PvE raid; this can cause mistakes in the voting system.
Always vote honestly about who showed up to your raids; giving someone a no-show when they attended will give you a bad reputation amongst other members.

What you can expect from us;

We will answer all of your questions about the website and its features.
We offer 2 main ways to contact our support teams - The Support ticket system (found in the menu panel to the left of your home screen) and live support in the 'support' chat channel - simply join the chat and ask away.
We provide Voice Chat servers for our users; Please do not share Voice Chat information with other websites; users found doing this will be banned.

We will not delete comments on profile pages that do not break our rules of conduct. For example;
'Ninja' - Will be deleted due to lack of sufficient information and more often than not, a lie over loot being lost in a roll.
'Showed up 10 mins late, and then failed on raggy mechanics' - Will NOT be deleted - this is constructive criticism.
'Great player, healed well and lead the raid' - Will not be removed (Yes, we do get asked to remove positive comments for some reason'
Please do not start flame wars in peoples profiles; this will lead to removal of comments and a possible reputation deduction for all of those involved (even if it is on your profile)

Should you want your account deleted - please contact support via a ticket (this will take 1-2 days to process).

DO NOT SHARE OTHER MEMBERS REAL-ID OR ACCOUNT INFORMATION WITH OTHER MEMBERS.
Do not post your own real-id in public chat channels or on comment pages. We are unable to assist with issues that arise from your broadcast.

Please read Blizzard's Code of Conduct for further details.

Privacy and Security:
Here at OpenRaid your privacy and account security are paramount. We will never share your details with other members, companies or websites.
Just like Blizzard, we highly recommend the use of an Authenticator on your WoW account; please check out our account security forum here: http://openraid.eu/f/473

URGENT: New Ventrilo Rules!

Postby Lyádryn » View Lyádryn's OpenRaid characters » Tue Jul 24, 2012 7:26 am

Recently more and more people are using OpenRaid vent for private raids and raids not associated with OpenRaid. Even playing games that we do not support.

This takes up the slots that you, our members need and pay for through donations. In order to help stop this;

ALL RAID LEADERS ARE TO HAVE A DIRECT LINK TO THEIR RAID AS THEIR VENTRILO NOTE.

Leaders found not doing this will be asked to show us the link via vent chat; if a link cannot be provided, and your raid sounds like it is not formed on OpenRaid, you will be asked to leave. Should you not leave, you and your raid will be banned.

We will give you a chance to find a link to your raid.

For those using quick raid; leaders please put in the comment: Quick Raid Feature - location...............(enter name of the raid)
Those of you with private 'locked' channels - this does not apply as long as you are in your channel. (We may however, ask you for a raid link if the vent is full)

Please spread this message around to your raid leaders and raiders.
