Idea would be cool if we can enter our cell number when creating accounts to get alerts when your raid is almost up.
I still miss it sometimes just cause i forget, wouldn't always want to stress myself over raid times if i have any scheduled

to get a text, not a phone call btw

A mail is already sent ~1 hour before raid starts, haven't you noticed that?

Yeah, that email is already sent out. If you have a different email address going to your phone, you should be able to set up email forwarding based on a subject filter for "OpenRaid - raid is starting soon!".

Alternately, adding calendar events to your phone will provide dynamic alerts based on your settings. Which plugs into this suggestion, which I am very fond of.

I'm actually not sure what kind of infrastructure is required to be able for us to send thousands of automated texts a day, but I suppose it's something to look into for the future.

By the way- here's a handy tool. IfThisThenThat is a free service that polls various services like Gmail and Dropbox (with your approval) and will perform actions based on events on those services. This IFTTT "recipe" will send me a text within 15 minutes of me receiving the Raid is Starting email, and tell me when the email came in.

To use it, you'll need to sign up and approve it to check your email and send texts to your phone. You'll probably need to switch the Gmail module to whatever you use as well.

Just passing that along. The thought of trying to coordinate and/or pay for thousands of text messages being sent -literally- all over the world hurts my brain.
